Jennifer Harman grew up in Reno Nevada and started playing poker at a very young age. She would often watch her father get beat up in his home poker game. Jennifer substituted for her father one night and destroyed the competition. She started playing full time as soon as she reached age 21. She gradually moved up the Limit Holdem ranks and continued to beat every one alone the way. She is a regular in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio. The strong line up includes: Doyle Brunson, Chip Reese, Johnny Chan, and Phil Ivey. She is considered to be one of the best players in the world. She is a regular on GSN in the show High Stakes Poker.
She is a Limit Holdem and cash game specialist but plays tournaments sometimes. She has won two WSOP bracelets, one in Limit Holdem and the other in Deuce-to-Seven Draw. Ironically, she didn't even know how to play Deuce-to-Seven Draw. I guess her reads are so good that she doesn't even need to know the game as long as it's poker. She is a writer in the very popular Super System 2 contributing her expertise in Limit Holdem. She currently resides in Las Vegas with her husband Marco Traniello. She has been teaching Marco how to play poker and he is already becoming an excellent player. She spends time speaking for her organ donor foundation, CODA "Creating Organ Donation Awareness". Harman is a great spokesperson for the game of poker. She may appear to be innocent but she will make every attempt to get all of your chips. She plays online at Full Tilt Poker occasionally.
